Sassetti is currently hiring for an Audit Manager to join the audit team in our Oak Brook office. 

Job Summary:

The Audit Manager’s primary function is to manage and supervise the execution of external audit engagements in accordance with regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards.   

Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Manage and supervise the execution of external audit engagements of various clients in accordance with relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards.
  • Keep current and maintain a working knowledge of pertinent information relevant to the client's industry.
  • Oversee engagement management, including managing the budget and progress while monitoring the timeline to complete the job effectively and efficiently.
  • Set the culture for your team and mentor team members in their career development.
  • Build the client relationships by providing an excellent client experience.
  • Understand and utilize Sassetti’s audit processes and procedures.
  • Proactively develop business.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • NFP audit experience required. 
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing Standards.    
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge including Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


Education and Experience:

  • Five + years of current and/or recent audit experience within a public accounting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Licensed CPA preferred but not required.


 Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


What We Offer:

- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.  Salary range starts at $97,500 and increases with experience to $130,500.

- Generous PTO - 200 hours per year (accrued monthly at 16.67 hours)
